Latitude Design Systems has updated their PIC Studio design software with an Assembly Design Kit (ADK) for the PHIX Characterization Package. This ADK helps designers of photonic integrated circuits comply with the design rules for this packaging solution.
PIC Studio by Latitude Design Systems is a software suite for the design and simulation of photonic integrated circuits (PICs). The implementation of the PHIX ADK in PIC Studio enables designers to create PIC layouts with immediate consideration of the packaging rules and constraints specific to the PHIX Characterization Package. This eliminates costly design mistakes and ensures that the chips can be packaged effectively and with a short time-to-market.
The PHIX Characterization Package is an open architecture prototype packaging platform for PICs and optoelectronic devices. It offers:
